All The Latest On Halloween Costumes

Well, it is that time of year again...HALLOWEEN!! yea! This is one of my favorite times of the year because it is a blast to see all of the new Halloween costumes for the year. Of course there are always the old support Halloween costumes, like princesses and clowns and of course mice.

I have explored with making my own Halloween costumes in the past and my children loved them! One costume that was particularly hard to make was my daughters last year. She wanted to be Cinderella but we could not find the blue dress anywhere. I searched everywhere and finally about a week before Halloween I decided I would just have to make her Halloween costume that led me to her dress up clothes. I took a pink body suit and put on sequins. Then I used an old slip to make a shell for the bottom, I was able to buy some blue satin and that finished it out, pleats and all. I was able to find a blue crown and wand at my local dollar store and it all came together nicely. If you want to make a Halloween costume for your child you could become creative on your own or visit one of the numerous craft sites geared towards children.

I will be shopping much earlier this year. As much fun as I had it was close, I was still sewing the skirt together the day before. One of my favorite places to shop for all my costumes is online. I can see all the oldies but goodies as well as the newest and latest Halloween costumes right from the comfort of my own home. Last year I window shopped online and then tried to find the costume locally because I was afraid I would get the wrong size online. What a nightmare that turned out to be. This year I found two really great costume sites online, Annies Costumes and Buy Costumes. Both of these sites have it all and best of all they have a great size chart that shows me the exact size to order. Just remember that Halloween is October 31 so order early. When I shop online I make sure that I order at least a week before I need the costume.
